Rosario Alfredo Donato, born in Palmi on 2 June 1965, graduated in Economics and Commerce from the University of Messina, has been General Director of Confindustria Radio Televisioni (CRTV) since 24 November 2016. He assists the President and the vice Presidents in carrying out the association’s activities, is responsible for the staff, the functioning of the structure and supervises all areas and functions of the Association.

In CRTV, from October 2013 to October 2016, he held the role of Operations Director with direct responsibility for administration, accounting and control – Studies and Research Office – Services to SMEs – General Affairs and Internal Relations.

Previously, from 2008 to 2013, he was Director of the FRT – Radio and Television Federation, a trade association of private, national and local radio and television companies.
From 1995 to 2004 he was a senior manager, with various positions of high responsibility, in Banca Popolare di Polistena and Banca Regionale (loans and special credits office) and Banca Antonveneta (branch manager and area credit assistant).

He has carried out management consultancy activities for companies on the subject of management planning and control and teaching activities on business management (administration, finance and control) and on credit matters in seminars organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Rome, by the Municipality of Rome and by the Roman Institute of Entrepreneurial Training in Rome.

He is the author of “The Financial Statements”, Giuffrè Editore, Milan 2004 and co-author of the “Commented Civil Code” (author of the section relating to the Financial Statements in abbreviated form) edited by Paolo Cendon, Giuffrè Editore, Milan 2009.

He has participated as a speaker in numerous conferences and seminars and holds various positions in public and private bodies, including:
– Member of the Media and Minors Committee at the Ministry of Economic Development.
– Member of the Publishing Commission at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
– Member of the Publishing Facilitated Credit Committee at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
– Member of the Self-regulation Code Committee on the representation of judicial events in television broadcasts at the Communications Regulatory Authority.
– Member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Advertising Self-Regulation (IAP).
– Member of the Planning and Steering Committee at the University of Rome La Sapienza – Department of Communication and Social Research.
