BIO

Born in 1960 is an entrepreneur with a track record of redefining the art of innovation.
Giorgio’s main characteristic is to transform intellectual ideas, into a pragmatic approaches tailored for the requirements of the broadcasting and advertising industries. 

  At the young age of 13, passionate about music, studied piano privately his creativity led him to build an electronic metronome, gaining school recognition.

At the age of 15 Giorgio joins as founding member a successful private youth radio, personally creating the technical equipment necessary for its technical operations.

At the age of 18, in 1978, at the beginning of the era of private radio and TV, he founded one of the first advertising agencies for these new media and once again transformed traditional schemes and opening the way to innovation.

At the age of 22, thanks to his innovative musical selections, he became a local celebrity dee jay of one of the most important night clubs in Sardinia.

At the age of 25, attracted by the audiovisual world, he decided to move to Milan and in a short time became one of the most popular editors, working for programs that have made the history of Italian national TV such as “Drive in”, “Ok il prezzo è giusto”, “Dee Jay Television” and many others.

Thanks to the experience gained in the production and direction of many music videos, he was called to direct another national TV programme called “Super Classifica Show” 

Driven by intellectual curiosity toward transformational change, Giorgio is a regular presence at the yearly NAB Show, contributing to new trends in digital editing technologies. Giorgio was the first to employ these innovations in Italy, using them to post produce entire cutting-edge television broadcasts. 

Having set up several successful companies and creating innovative outdoor shows, such as “Colpo di fulmine” for Mediaset, “Shout”, “Mission” for RAI, Giorgio is by now an established authority in the Italian world of broadcasting. Thanks to the use of ENG crews, he introduced a revolutionary twist to these broadcasts, designing an innovative format which was a success for the teenage young audiences.

Giorgio’s enthusiasm remains infectious within his working group who share the same values of competence and hunger for innovation research.

In 2011 Giorgio, anticipating a turning point in the audiovisual world, founded DIGITALIS multimedia which today, thanks to its established core team, has become the undisputed leader of the Italian broadcast industry, with over 60 editing rooms and the ability to manage over 100,000 hours a year of post-production, graphics and audio. Digitalis generates 70% of Mediaset’s demand and provides RAI with live links and filming crews for the most important information programmes on a daily basis.

Giorgio’s running of his companies structures continued to truly improve the user experience of television post-production and in 2019, understanding these specific needs, he invents and patents a cutting-edge process that has revolutionized the way post-production is managed: StreamLook, the future of today.

In 2022, in Cagliari, Giorgio realized its most daring dream: SYM9, a private cloud designed specifically for television post-production. This centre of technological excellence is the beating heart of audiovisual innovation, a place where ideas come to life and where the future is boldly forged.
